First-Time Setup Instructions
Your OS will show a security warning because this app is from an indie developer. Follow these one-time steps to run the app.
macOS
1. Open the downloaded `.dmg` file.
2. Drag NoteIt.app into your main Applications folder.
3. Right-click (or Control-click) the NoteIt.app in your Applications folder and select Open.
4. A warning dialog will appear. Click the Open button to run the app.
Windows
1. Run the downloaded `NoteIt Setup.exe` file.
2. A blue screen saying "Windows protected your PC" will appear.
3. Click the More info link.
4. A new button, Run anyway, will appear. Click it to start the installation.
Linux
1. Open a terminal in the folder where you downloaded the AppImage.
2. Run the command `chmod +x NoteIt-0.0.1-arm64.AppImage` to make it executable.
3. Run the app by double-clicking it or with `./NoteIt-0.0.1-arm64.AppImage`.
